Forgotten In America June 22, 2015

On Monday, June 22nd, the newest force in LA’s growing theatre scene, Ammunition Theatre Company (Ammo), will host a play reading and fundraiser for My Friend’s Place – a homeless youth resource center and day shelter in Hollywood – and the documentary film Lost In America. The fundraiser will be held at the Renberg Theatre of the LA LGBT Center.

The event will include a red carpet, hosted wine bar, and a staged reading of Polaroid Stories, a compelling adaptation of Ovid’s Metamorphosis set in the world of homeless youth. All of the money raised will be donated to My Friend’s Place and Lost In America – a documentary film with which director Rotimi Rainwater takes an unflinching look at the lives of homeless youth across America, examining why youth homelessness is such an epidemic and what some public figures and politicians are doing (or not doing) to change that.
